Can I V8 hot lap alone?
No. All V8 experiences take place with an experienced race driver alongside you. When you’re taking the wheel, their expert instruction on braking, acceleration, gear changes, apexes and more, will help you make the most of your experience in a V8 six-speed Commodore or Monaro. Having an experienced driver with you helps you to stay safe, but also makes the experience more fun, as you can put their advice in to practice to push your abilities to levels you didn’t know you were capable of.
The hot laps part of the experience sees you jumping in the passenger seat. The pro driver will then take you on a blistering set of laps around the track. These cars are capable of accelerating to 100km/h in a matter of seconds and can comfortable push well beyond 200km/h. Talking speed is one thing, feeling it in the car is an experience that’s sure to take your breath away.
What to wear when doing a V8 hot lap in Barbagallo Raceway?
On the day of your V8 hot laps or drive, you’ll be given a full safety briefing and supplied with race overalls and helmet. Dress for the weather in comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes. You don’t need to buy or bring along any specialist equipment or clothing, just take your booking confirmation and (if you’re driving) your licence.
