A gorgeous day out in the tropical paradise that is Fraser Island. Hire a jet ski and cruise the calm waters between Hervey Bay and the Island, exploring the idyllic Pelican Bank. Swim in turquoise water, explore the beach with your guide and walk up to the lookout at Kingfisher Resort.
The best way to see the stunning sights surrounding Queensland’s Fraser Island is to get out on the sparkling blue water and start exploring. If you’re game to take the reins and make a splash, jet skiing is an unbeatable way to see it all.
Indulge your adventurous side with a three and a half hour guided jet skiing experience that will take you on an action-packed tour to the exclusive side of Fraser Island and the surrounding sights. You’ll start your tour at Aquavue Cafe on the Torquay beachfront with a safety briefing to make sure everyone is comfortable maneuvering the jet skis (or sitting on the back). One of the perks of this tour is that you don’t need a licence to drive the jet ski, and the calm water makes it super easy to zoom around.
Once you’re ready, your guide will lead you and your small group across the sparkling waters of Hervey Bay and the Great Sandy Strait. Keep an eye out for the playful marine wildlife that populates these areas, from turtles to dolphins, and even dugongs. Soak up the salt water breeze and the epic scenery as you ride, en route to the famous Kingfisher Bay Resort. Housed on the World Heritage listed Fraser Island, the resort lookout gives you an opportunity to put your feet momentarily back on the ground and take in the view.
Then it’s back on the jet ski to explore the west coast of the island. You’ll stop at the postcard-perfect Moon Point and on to Pelican Bank. The Bank’s sheltered waters make it the perfect spot for a swim, so hop off your jet ski and enjoy. Eventually it’s time to cruise back to Torquay where you’ll be treated to a delicious beachfront lunch at the cafe. It’s a big day out that will satisfy your thirst for thrills and sightseeing all at once, so what are you waiting for?
