The roar of the jet spooling up is one thing, but the sheer exhilaration of 4,000 pounds of jet firing you down the runway is simply mind-blowing!
Join an elite few and strap yourself into our head turning L-39 jet fighter for a mind blowing fighter pilot experience. Our L-39 is powered by the brilliant Ivchenko turbo fan jet engine that produces 4,000 pounds of thrust whilst the cockpit is air conditioned and pressurised for your comfort. Previously serving with the Ukrainian Air Force our L-39 was used to train pilots for advanced combat operations.
The experience will take you on a sortie from our Fighter Pilot base at Archerfield Airport. Having been greeted by our friendly ground staff you will receive a full operational briefing for your upcoming mission, after which you will be fitted into your flight suit and helmet and taken to the aircraft. Your pilot will ensure you are properly strapped into your seat and will explain some of the safety features and equipment in preparation for the flight. The engine start sequence is a highlight as it whistles up to RPM and your adventure is just about to begin. Your pilot will be in constant communication with you as the aircraft is guided through the planned sequence of manoeuvres. The L-39 is an extremely agile and exhilarating aircraft to fly with fantastic visibility from your seat in the cockpit. The views as we gracefully conduct our manoeuvres are simply stunning. Remember, we can crank it up or take it down a notch or two at any point, it's up to you!
Imagine while you’re having the time of your life, your family and friends can relax at our hangar and enjoy the sights and sounds of our fighter base. They will witness first hand your engine start, take-off and return, truly becoming part of the experience.
After the flight, we’ll join you to debrief and you will have the opportunity to discuss your flight, and most importantly get some photographs with the aircraft and your guests. If a USB was purchased on the day, you will also be shown your experience footage from the flight, while it downloads.
This is truly a fantastic experience and a perfect gift idea for aviation fans and something unique for that special someone.
