Looking for a fun way to discover the best sights of Perth? Take in the amazing sights along the Swan River on this scenic river cruise from Perth to the Port of Fremantle. Sip on coffee or tea and enjoy the scenery and elegant homes overlooking the river and Fremantle’s busy inner port. Your cruise is the perfect way to see Perth’s tops landmarks, and the captain will point out all the locations of interest and historical importance, from Perth’s iconic Bell Tower and the restored Swan Brewery to Kings Park and the Royal Perth Yacht Club to name a few.
Later in the day, hop aboard the Transperth ferry for a trip across the river to South Perth. Visit Perth Zoo, and view one of Australia’s best collections of native and exotic animals. Get up close to a diverse range of amazing reptiles, marsupials and big jungle cats from the African savannah. To round off the day you can take the return ferry to Barrack Street Jetty in Perth.
Captain Cook Cruises operates from Piers 1, 2 and 3, Barrack Square, Perth. Barrack Square is situated at the end of Barrack Street on the Swan River.
Driving – Parking is available at the Perth Concert Hall on Governors Avenue. This is an easy 5-minute walk to Barrack Square.
Public transport – the number 19 Blue Cat bus arrives every 7 minutes at Barrack Square from many stops in the Perth CBD area. Perth trams also drop off regularly at Barrack Square.
Available as a full day cruise, from 9.45am – 5.30pm or can also be done over two consecutive days. Cruises depart at 9.30am and 2.15pm selected days every week. The cruise will take approximately 2.5 hours. The zoo is open 9am to 5pm daily. Bookings are essential and subject to availability.
