Whether you’re tandem skydiving over the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, tropical Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, Rainbow Beach, separated only from the heritage-listed Fraser Island by the Pacific Ocean, and endless, naturally abundant coastline, Queensland skydiving puts the concept of scenic splendour at an elevated level.

Where is the best place to skydive in Queensland?

You could choose skydiving over Redcliffe Beach in the centre of Brisbane or Bribie Island also with beach drop zone, the dazzling Gold Coast with beach landing, skydiving over Noosa or Caloundra coastlines, again with beach drop zone.

To view the Whitsunday Islands in high-flying style, try skydiving over Airlie Beach with upgradeable beach landing, skydiving and landing over breathtaking Rainbow Beach and, undoubtedly among if not the best on offer: the half-day Innisfail to Cairns – 15,000 feet tandem skydive, again with spectacular beach landing.

Whoever said: “life’s a beach” was most definitely a Queensland resident.

From what height is skydiving done?

Skydiving is conducted from up to 15,000 feet high, which is the highest altitude available in Australia.

Adrenaline also offers skydiving Queensland packages from almost every acceptable altitude: between 7000 feet and 15,000 feet, at all dream destinations.

Regardless of preferred height, these priceless experiences, priced to suit every budget, are optimum for both learn-to-skydive participants, aged 16 years old and above, or seasoned skydiving thrill seekers who are coming back for more.

Drop zone and all relevant information can be found within each package listing online.

There is also a convenient chat service available for further details or queries specific to each and every of the 2500-plus experiences on offer at Adrenaline.

Once your skydiving Queensland activity has been confirmed, you’ll be in the expert hands of your tour provider, who will contact you regarding your flight arrival and departure times, provide weather updates and reconfirm your skydiving event the night before the big jump.

Make sure you’re well rested and abstain from excessive drinking the night before your tandem skydiving event.

You should dress appropriately and comfortably, including enclosed footwear. Don’t forget to bring a hat and sunglasses, and apply plenty of sunscreen to combat the dazzling Queensland sunshine. You’ll also be required to present your Adrenaline booking confirmation.

Once you arrive, lightly fuelled, fresh faced and raring to go, you’ll be fully briefed and instructed on all safety methods and procedures.

Then you’ll be up and away on board your spectacular scenic flight over Queensland’s most mesmerising natural and city skyline sights before taking the plunge for the adrenaline rush of your lifetime.

How fast do skydivers go?

In a tandem dive from up to 15,000 feet high, upon exiting the plane, which will be travelling at speeds of up to 200km per hour, skydivers can free fall up to 10,000 feet in less than a minute.

Believe us: the descent will seem like a lightning-quick pace. But when your tandem master pulls the parachute cord at around 5000 feet above ground, you’ll float like a butterfly for up to five minutes before your feet graze the earth’s surface.
